In the House of Commons Defence Questions session held on 18 Feb, the Member of Parliament for Moray (the Rt Hon Douglas Ross MP) raised the topic of Intermittent Fault Detection (IFD) testing - the first time IFD usage has been discussed in the UK Parliament.

Mr Ross's question can be seen in the video above: it was posed following a discussion on MoD work to review levels of employment for ex-military personnel.  Knowing Copernicus Technology is staffed predominantly by ex-RAF engineers and aircrew, and that we collaborate with US-based Universal Synaptics on IFD products used by the USDoD on several fleets, Mr Ross asked the Armed Forces Minister whether the MoD is looking to learn from the USDoD's IFD testing experience to increase Availability and reduce Support Costs.  In response the Minister (the Rt Hon Tobias Ellwood MP) has requested a dedicated meeting to discuss the topic.
